Young Artist technique by Dutchman Arie Smith. In 1960 he gave art lessons to young people in Penestanan village near Ubud in Gianyar. With minimal guidance but much encouragement, they created a naive style of genre painting known as Young Artist.
Sang Nyoman Suputra, 43 from Sayan, has been painting for 20 years.
